Situated on the eastern "red dirt" bench of the Silverado Trail, the Game Ranch vineyard is famous for its iron-rich volcanic soils, which impart a distinct mineral depth and firm structure. The 2015 vintage in Napa Valley was a low-yielding, high-concentration year, producing wines with significant power and longevity that are now entering a beautiful window of maturity.
On the nose, it offers a sophisticated, evolving bouquet of dried blackcurrants, black cherry, and scorched earth, accented by tertiary notes of leather, cigar box, and graphite.
