Whisky Sponge Edition No.92 is a 33 year old multi-vintage Aberlour. Made by mixing together and marrying two refill hogsheads, one from 1989 and one from 1991. This brew was then imprisoned in glass at natural marrying strength.
The 1989 was big and spicy, the 1991 was soft and floral. But when their powers combine... they made hyper tasty, fruity, mature Aberlour.
This is exactly the kind of small-batch tinkering that we love to do here at Decadent Drinks. And we are pretty pleased with this as our very first Aberlour bottling.
