In honor of their 30th birthday, the fine folks of Adelphi have bottled some seriously spectacular casks, including this stunning example. A single cask Mortlach that was drawn from a refill bourbon hogshead after over three decades of maturation. Mortlach has it's devotees for good reason, and they will no doubt be thrilled with this bottling, as it's a bit more fruit forward than the typical meaty Mortlach.

Refill bourbon hogshead
Colour: Light copper bronze
Nose: Orange Fanta, papaya, nutmeg, ripe cantaloupe melon, orange blossom water, cardamom, granite, ground cumin.
Palate: Earthy and vibrant, Blood orange zest, candied grapefruit, ripe mango, sandalwood, lychees, peach Schnapps, fruit cocktail. Incredibly bright for 1989 whisky.
Finish: Rich, mouth-coating, flinty, mineralic.
