This limited series is a collaboration between Appleton Estate Master Blender Dr. Joy Spence and rum expert Luca Gargano. Distilled in 100% Forsyth copper pot stills, this expression was aged for 25 tropical years—a process that accelerates maturation compared to European climates—before being bottled in 2023. It is a highly concentrated rum, featuring a heavy presence of congeners that contribute to its immense complexity.
On the nose, it is intense and ester-forward, offering aromas of overripe tropical fruits, sharp citrus peel, and herbal notes, alongside coffee and molasses. The palate is powerful and muscular, featuring deep flavours of orange peel, ginger, espresso, and dark chocolate, layered with vanilla and spicy oak. The finish is exceptionally long and dry, dominated by toasted oak, molasses, and a lingering spice.
