It seems like just yesterday that we were announcing our first collaboration with The Whisky Explorer. For its successor bottling, we decided that this would be a bottling amongst three groups that share a love of Bunnahabhain. Southern Ontario Sippers pointed us towards this cask from 2001 that has been fully matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt. It was love at first taste for them and we were really close behind - and we knew we had to share this with The Whisky Explorer, who also agreed that this needed to be bottled and shared with the Canadian whisky community immediately.
The now iconic label from Toronto-based artist Alexander Perkins has been updated to include an ode to both The Whisky Explorer and Southern Ontario Sippers – bonus points if you can spot the differences.
This single malt scotch whisky is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, yielding 185 bottles at a cask strength of 56.0% ABV.
