In Burgundy, 2023 brought smiles back to the faces of winemakers. Despite sometimes unsettled weather, the vines received everything they needed: moderate sunshine during flowering, regular rainfall to nourish the grapes, and enough warmth to reach optimal ripeness. The harvest began in August for Crémant wines, followed by the white and red wines in early September, in a summery atmosphere. Under a blazing sun, some estates chose to harvest at dawn or even at night to preserve the grapes' freshness. The result: generous yields, superb bunches, and grapes bursting with sugar, perfect for expressing the full potential of the vintage.
