The Story
The Prestige (often labeled as Prestige Vieilles Vignes) is the estate's top-tier red, crafted by the Millet family from the oldest Pinot Noir vines on the property. These vines are planted in "Terre Rouge," a characteristic iron-rich soil found near the hamlet of Champtin that is highly prized for producing silky, structured reds. Unlike the standard cuvée, the Prestige is typically aged in French oak barrels, which integrates wood tannins with the wine's natural fruitiness. It features an intense ruby robe and a complex nose of matured red fruits, violets, and subtle toasted oak, finishing with an elegant, well-balanced structure and melted tannins.
