The Story

The 2023 Juan Gil Blue Label Cuvée À is blended from two perfectly complementary grape varieties. The base is formed by old organic bush vines from Monastrell , planted on chalky and stony soils. These vines are deeply rooted and yield grapes with strength and aromatic intensity. Cabernet Sauvignon , grown in equally challenging vineyards, adds structure, dark fruit notes, and complexity. This combination of indigenous and international grapes creates a wine with both Mediterranean warmth and international refinement.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep cherry red color with purple hues. The nose opens with ripe red fruit such as blackberries, plums, and black cherries. This is complemented by spicy notes of black pepper and dried Mediterranean herbs. Barrel aging brings delicate hints of vanilla and cocoa, while amphora aging adds subtle earthy and mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with firm yet perfectly integrated tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, full of fruity intensity and spicy elegance. The whole exudes Mediterranean warmth and refinement.
