Giant Steps Harry's Monster 2020 is a sophisticated Bordeaux-style blend sourced from the steep, north-facing slopes of the Sexton Vineyard in the Warramate Ranges. This vintage, composed primarily of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Verdot, benefited from a moderate autumn that allowed for excellent tannin ripeness despite a challenging growing season. Each variety was hand-picked and vinified separately in small open fermenters before being aged for 14 months in French oak barriques. The wine presents a deep ruby color with supple aromas of blackcurrant, blood plum, cedar, and tobacco leaves. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and firmly structured, offering layers of dark cherry, cranberry, and savory dried herbs supported by polished tannins and bright acidity.
