Glenmorangie The Lasanta 15 Year Old is the newly enhanced version of the distillery’s core sherried expression, which was upgraded from a 12-year to a 15-year age statement in 2025. This Highland single malt is first matured for 10 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a five-year finishing period in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The extra three years of maturation compared to the original version provide a more profound depth of flavour and a noticeably richer, more integrated texture.
On the nose, it delivers an inviting and warm bouquet of spiced honey, raisins, and toasted hazelnuts, accented by notes of beeswax and honeycomb. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, showcasing layers of dark chocolate, toffee, and sun-dried sultanas, all balanced by warming baking spices like cinnamon and clove. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of Seville orange marmalade, sweet dates, and a soft, nutty oakiness.
