Godawan Series 01 Rich & Rounded is the flagship single malt from Diageo India’s Alwar distillery, crafted from locally grown six-row barley and matured in the extreme heat of the Rajasthan desert. This expression is defined by its maturation in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry casks, combined with a unique finish in casks seasoned with traditional Indian botanicals, Rasna and Jatamansi. On the nose, it presents a deep bouquet of figs, raisins, and honeyed sultanas, which transitions into a buttery palate of dark chocolate, espresso, and warm spices like cardamom. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration, it concludes with a long, indulgent finish of malty biscuits and caramel, offering a bolder and more savory profile than the Fruit & Spice edition.
