The Story

The 2020 E. Guigal "Ex Voto" Ermitage Blanc is a monumental and powerful white wine, produced only in exceptional years from vines aged between 40 and 90 years. Sourced predominantly from the prestigious Les Murets (90%) and L'Hermite (10%) vineyards, this vintage is noted for its extraordinary aromatic intensity and density. It presents a brilliant golden-yellow hue and an explosive nose of white peach, honey, and acacia flowers, interwoven with complex notes of toasted brioche, vanilla, and flinty minerality. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and unctuous, showcasing a massive concentration of fruit balanced by a refreshing saline edge. Aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak, it remains the ultimate expression of age-worthy Marsanne, intended for significant cellaring.
