The Story
Credited as the first of its kind in British Columbia, the Salted Lime Lager is the award-winning "original beer that started it all" for La Cervecería Astilleros. This Mexican-style lager is brewed using a base of Canadian 2-row barley and conditioned on fresh Mexican limes and imported Spanish salt from the UNESCO World Heritage site, El Valle Salado. The result is an ultra-crisp, light-bodied beer that balances zesty citrus notes with a subtle, briny finish. It is highly decorated, having notably won the Gold Medal in the Herb and Spice Beer category at the 2023 Canadian Brewing Awards.
