Ben Nevis has become an iconic malt amongst enthusiasts - as it balances theweight and body of malts lost in time, alongside bursts of fruit. The somewhat stubborn but wonderful insistence on the use of brewers yeast in fermentation, and a generally slower approach to spirits production is on full show in this 28 year old, as the fat, fruit driven distillate has been allowed to shine in re-fill hogsheads. Like Ross, it shows enough maturity to always finish on the right side.
