The Story
Etna Rosso comes from vineyards rich in volcanic rock and sand, with a smaller proportion of limestone. The most established nerello mascalese vines date back to the 1970s. Thanks to its location near the Alcantara River and on the northern slopes above 500 meters, the grapes find the perfect conditions here to ripen together. The grape harvest takes place manually in the early morning hours, after which the grapes are brought to the cellar in small baskets so as not to bruise the grapes during transport.
