Eau Claire Ploughman's Single Malt is the highly anticipated new flagship release from Alberta's premier craft producer, Eau Claire Distillery. Built to showcase the incredible potential of Canadian single malt, this expression represents the culmination of over a decade of distilling expertise and patient maturation in the province's unique, high-altitude climate.
Crafted from 100% Alberta malted barley—some of which is traditionally horse-farmed as part of their farm-to-glass philosophy—the whisky undergoes its primary maturation in a mix of ex-bourbon and new European oak casks. Master Distiller Daniel Gowrie then finishes select barrels in exceptional Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks sourced from the historic Ximénez-Spínola bodega in Spain.
