Tenuta di Sesta Rosso di Montalcino is a vibrant and approachable red wine, often celebrated as the "younger brother" of the estate's prestigious Brunello. This 100% Sangiovese Grosso is sourced from vineyards situated between 280 and 350 metres above sea level, benefitting from southern exposure and the traditional Castelnuovo dell’Abate terroir. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel before ageing for 10 to 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, resulting in a profile that balances the structural intensity of Montalcino with the freshness and vivacity of a younger wine. It presents an intense ruby red colour and a broad, fruity bouquet of red berries and blackberries, layered with elegant spicy notes of black pepper and liquorice. On the palate, it is dry and harmonious, featuring soft, pleasant tannins and a persistent finish.
