The Story
This Syrah presents a deep, rich colour and exudes a pronounced coastal character. The nose offers aromas of raw meat, liqueur-like black fruits, spices, and herbs. On the palate, it is succulent with soft tannins, delivering a harmonious blend of flavours and creamy textures. The wine's structure is complemented by a vibrant acidity, contributing to its freshness and balance.
Pairs excellently with grilled lamb, beef stews, and game meats. The wine's depth and character are highlighted when accompanied by dishes featuring rich, savoury flavours.
93 Points -James Suckling
An outstanding syrah from Leyda that shows a hint of lard and spices to the dried Mediterranean herbs and deep, peppery damson plums and dark cherries. Fruit-forward and medium-bodied with fine tannins and a juicy, pristine finish. A bit more midpalate depth would take it to greatness. Already delicious but can hold.
