Henry & Sons crafts their award-winning whiskey using a unique strain of heirloom red corn grown right on their family farm in Dane, Wisconsin. For the spectacular Bellefontaine Reserve, they take their meticulously aged 5-year-old straight bourbon and finish it in genuine V.S.O.P. Cognac casks. Bottled at a robust but highly approachable 103 proof (51.5% ABV), this secondary maturation process brilliantly weaves the deep, rich fruit and floral notes of the Cognac into the sweet, earthy backbone of the red corn bourbon, creating a truly luxurious sipping experience.
NOSE
Highly aromatic, rich, and elegant. Beautiful notes of ripe apricot, dark plum, warm vanilla bean, floral honey, and toasted oak.
