The whiskey is then transferred into barrels that previously held rich, local Indiana maple syrup for a secondary maturation of 3 to 8 months. Bottled at cask strength (typically between 110 and 115 proof), it offers a remarkably thick, velvety texture where the earthy, wood-fired sweetness of the maple perfectly complements the spicy rye and toasted oak of the base bourbon.
NOSE
